A
performance on the powerful frailness of dance, vitality of the
body, and on a thought which yearns to be physical, comprehensible
fully only through the perception of the senses.
PIANO DI CONSISTENZE is inspired by the concept of ‘piano’
that Deleuze and Guattari lay out in their book ‘A Thousand
Plateaus’. Plateaus are intended as any multiplicity connected
to others, so that every event has a relation with the entire system,
similar to the level of synapses in the brain. A ramification or
web, as it would be called today, without a central principal.
This concept of the performance puts attention on the creative act,
as a collectively conscious process. The dancers construct plateaus
of concatenation (with gestures, rhythms, geometries) merging into
the reality of the environment wherein the action is found (place,
space, scenery, public) but also capable to imagine a reality that
does not yet exist. Dance, because expressed through the body, is
a complexity of many plateaus; the concepts expressed here become
comprehensible only through the perceptions of the senses, rather
than through the rational interpretation of a choreographic story.
